Onze altijd optimistische en levenslustige Morris is niet langer bij ons.
Dear Germaine , Amir, Eran and Yoel :
I have known Morris for 56 years since we met in the army at 18 years old. He made us all laugh with great stories and unique and funny Tiberias accent that everyone who knew him recognized so well. Morris always made sure that the Hevre (friends) will meet together as much as possible. He loved life , loved sports especially football and tennis , loved and knew a lot about music and was optimistic that things will turn out well.
He was full of ideas and energies beautifully mixed with being “kaslan “ taking it easy. Whenever someone asked me (including password verification ) who is my best friend it was MORRIS ! In capital letters ! and you will always remain in my heart.

Morris was a real people lover. He was easy to talk to, and had such a great sense of humor. Many years ago, when we were living in different time zones, and before we all had cellphones, I used to get phone calls from him during all times of day. That was because Morris didn’t sleep much during the night and was always looking for people to talk to. He was of course looking for Yossi, but got me instead, just because Yossi was at work:)
Nevertheless, we ended up having hours of deep funny conversations, while the time on his side was 3AM and I was doing laundry and dishes.
I will always cherish the times our families spent together and the trips we took together.
Our heart is aching and we will always remember him with a smile.

Allereerst mijn oprechte condoleances aan Germaine, de 3 zonen Amir (& Stephanie), Eran (& Pendy) en Yoël.
Mijn connectie met Morris is die van Café Olé, de plek waar in de jaren 60 de eerste "espressi en cappuccini" werden geserveerd in Mokum. Samen met Issy Bar Yehuda, Morris en ik runden we deze zaak tot 2014, de toenmalige Beurspassage werd afgebroken en zodoende verdween onze bekende Espresso-bar.
Met Morris die altijd vol goede moed was en nieuwe ideeën opperde probeerden wij het hoofd boven water te houden na de sluiting van de C&A ingang in de Beurspassage.
Het is er helaas nooit van gekomen een potje tennis tegen hem te spelen, wel spraken we vaak over voetbal.
De laatste jaren hadden wij weinig contact maar ik zal mij hem herinneren als een toffe compagnon. Rust zacht.
